WARDOGS Gameplay Guide

Follow a first WARDOGS match from loadout purchase and deployment through team support, Control Zone scoring, cash earnings and victory.

Gameplay — How a WARDOGS match works

Each life starts by purchasing a custom loadout and traveling from the safe zone to the Control Zone. Every 30 seconds, the team with the most players inside earns one point, and the first team to reach 100 points wins.

Kills, revives and skillfully piloting friendly players into the Control Zone are teamplay actions that earn in-game cash.

Gameplay — Your first-match sequence

  1. Enter the match as part of one of three teams, then purchase the custom loadout you want to use for that life.
  2. Choose your route from spawn carefully. Buying a vehicle, catching a lift, judging a pilot and selecting a faster route all affect how quickly you return to the fight after a death.
  3. Reach the Control Zone and help your team maintain the largest presence there so it can earn the next point.
  4. Earn cash through useful team actions such as eliminating enemies, reviving teammates or transporting friendly players into the objective.
  5. Define your own role through your loadout. Supported options include medic, sniper, artillery, ground support, tank commander and builder, alongside drivable vehicles and flyable aircraft.
  6. Use local voice chat to coordinate tactics with nearby teammates as infantry, vehicle crews and support players converge on the objective.
  7. Fortify a strategic chokepoint with a forward operating base or strengthen another key position to give your team a tactical advantage.
  8. Use rocket launchers against apartment blocks, heavily armored tanks through towns or an artillery tank when destruction supports your team’s positioning.
  9. Enter the moving Hot Zone inside the larger Control Zone when the risk is worthwhile; it pays double cash and makes you count double toward your team’s presence.
  10. Prioritize cautious play and controlled spending. Match profits are banked for later matches, while expensive equipment may fail to return a profit if the life goes badly.
